dumd shit i hate these morons

Many people get calls from this number, sometimes twice or three times a day. Upon answering, you may either get a telemarketing pitch or no answer at all. The things they have tried to sell, based on comments from those who have received calls from this number, include free magazines from Best Buy and debt relief. The company has been called "Portfolio Recovery Services", but that is likely not the only name they go by. They are based in Norfolk, VA. Some people who have asked them to stop calling only get calls from a different phone number. These calls occur in some cases up to two or three times a day.

Called trying to collect a debt from over 2 years ago, threatening to take me to court and file charges against me.

They call me about 3x a day - first call usually around 7:30 - 8:00 AM! This am, I actually answered and told them to quit calling me; then she asked if I was the "owner". I said yes and take me OFF THEIR LIST. She said "don't you think it's too early to start being this rude?" and hung up.

Keep finding this number on my cell phone. Doesn't leave message so I don't call it back.

keeps calling every day for past week and when i answer nobody answer. this person never leaves a message and its is pissing me off.

Called back number. Said Hello, we give away alot of things to expectant parents; please hold the line for our next representative. Right after this call, my phone noted: new message with the light blinking, yet there is no new message and the light indicating new message and the "new message" statement stays on. Hmmmm?

I have received about 10 calls from this number in the past couple days. I have no idea who it is. I answered once, but no one seemed to be on the other end.

They were looking for the previous owner of my house from over 10 years ago! Of course my phone number is different, it is on the do not call list, and I have no relation or connections to the person who used to live in my house. She actually divorced & moved to another state before her husband sold the house to us. They said I should call them back if it was a wrong number, but I'm afraid I'll get added to their list to call!
